Moon Magic:

I practice something I like to call "Moon Magic", throughout my research and experience with witchcraft and magic, I have always felt pulled towards the magic and power of the moon. Doing spellwork or rituals at certain times of the lunar cycle can bring amazing physical and psychological transformations into your life. 

The most important and difficult spellwork should be practiced during the full moon or the new moon because these are the main 2 stages in the cycle. The first part of the cycle is good for increase magic such as if your seeking to bring something into your life. The second part of the cycle is for decrease which is perfect for things such as banishing. 

The moon can represent a lot such as love, passion, fertility, mystery, death, and rebirth. I feel as though connecting with the spirit of the moon can help us spiritually, mentally, and physically. From my experience with it, it has helped me become more aware of my spirit, my mental and physical health (from which I have suffered for years). I believe that if we open our minds and spirit to the moon we are opening up a path to gain energy that the moon is trying to give us if only we would allow it. I also believe that the frequency the moon emits affects the frequency of our subconscious in many helpful and powerful ways. 

I think that if you want to start practicing witchcraft or developing beliefs based around the moon and lunar cycle research is key. Doing this kind of rituals and having these beliefs is something that changes your life for good or bad depending on how you come about it. Research the history, the cycle, the gods and goddesses, spells, and crystals. I believe that you should also try and acknowledge the moon every day, whether that is admiring it or giving it a silent greeting. 

Personally, with my craft, I base it around the moon. I use Norse gods and goddesses associated with different parts of the lunar cycle. I have felt spiritually connected to Norse mythology and magic for a long period of time so these are the deities I use in my magic. I do spells and rituals as well as crystal and candle magic.

For many years I have been drawn into and amazed into the world of magic. Over these years I have discovered my personal beliefs and I would like to share these with you. Every person who practises witchcraft or magic or even religion has different ways of doing things and different things they believe and do not believe. I hope that my blog will help people who are interested in perhaps starting to practise these things themselves or just to become more open-minded on beliefs that are not considered the norm.
